Monopoly is a classic property trading game. Unlike the inaugural MMM, We will only be playing one game at CMI! Party. This game is challenging for both the newbie and the seasoned.

We will be playing the STANDARD ONE-HOUR SHORT GAME RULES (with three free properties per player at the beginning).

If you are wondering whether you can buy properties at the first round or get money on the free parking space, don't wonder anymore! These variations of the STANDARD monopoly rules are house rules which will not apply for the 2nd MMM.

If you are uneducated about the standard monopoly rule book, fret not! Be educated at CMI! Party where you will apply these "new" rules in securing a victory.

MMM Selection: Slumdog Millionaire @ The Cathay

Dearest guests,

For those hardcore owls who registered to join Midnight Movie Madness, the mystery is finally unravelled.

We will be watching Slumdog Millionaire @ The Cathay @ 2350 hrs! This film won many Oscars recently so it's definitely worth watching!

To facilitate smooth transition from the party to the comforts of the cinema seat, advance booking for the movie will take place on Friday before CMI! Party, so if you have not emailed John your decision to join MMM, please do so asap.

Departure for the MMM will begin at 2230 from Bukit Regency by bus 171. A 20-min ride will take the entourage to The Cathay directly. Movie is expected to end past 2am. Please ready a fat wallet for the expensive way back home.

John will be sharing a cab with 3 other "unlucky" souls, so please SMS him if you want to cab-share back to Woodlands.

Alternatively, you may choose to camp at Dhoby Ghaut and catch the first train home.

Presenting John's 21st Birthday Party

CMI! Party, unlike what it may seem to be, is actually what it seems not to be.

Look beyond the surface but don’t look too far. Look deep. Deep within the earthly flesh lies an innate divine desire- a desire to transcend one’s perceived capabilities, rising above the seemingly impossible and reaching beyond the comforts of our cozy caves.

“Can Make It!” Party is the fourth installment in a series of party-hosting efforts sought to celebrate the coming of age of an ordinary human, and more importantly, the noble notion of creating connections among people from wholly different backgrounds.

CMI! Party heralds the new frontier arrived at not only by an individual but by a group of people who turns twenty-one years of age. The magic number is a symbol of greater freedom and more responsibilities. With more responsibilities, more troubles, more problems, more dangers and more fear lurk.

Amidst the worldly and material struggle of the modern age, the legal adult faces a host of unprecedented challenges which will either make or break him. Confronting a new problem, he may at first utter, for example, “I can make it for the party”, in order to express his intention in solving the issue at hand. However, the observer may eventually realise that this is after all merely an utter- an ill-conceived voice without careful consideration of all the facets at hand- when he receives last-minute hasty messages like “Hey I can't go dude....Not feeling well after last night's heavy drinking....Sorry man.” or “Sorry, won't be free tonight:) You have fun yeah.”.

Unfortunately many of us make such mistakes. Fortunately mistakes are made in the past. On this night, be enthralled as you embrace the future that you will be. Make this present a present you receive every day of your life from now.

Indicate that you “Can Make It!” for the CMI! Speeches, 2^nd MMM and the Midnight Movie Madness.

By indicating “CMI!” for the CMI! Speeches means that you are interested to give a 5-min speech on the topic of CMI! The best speaker will walk away with the Best CMI! Speaker Award at the end of the party.

By indicating “CMI!” for the 2^nd MMM means that you are able to attend the full game from 8.00pm to 10.20pm.

By indicating “CMI!” for the Midnight Movie Madness, it is assumed that you know what you are doing.

Prepare for the above activities by making the necessary preparation- whether it's studying the monopoly rules, one hour in the bathroom or cash for taxi home, be prepared!
